Ram-Zet: Freaks in wonderland
06/04/12 || Curt
Ram-Zet is one bizarre band and “Freaks in Wonderland” is a very bizarre album. Probably the best comparison I could make to these guys is Iwrestledabearonce, in that both bands are completely schizo in their style. One second Ram-Zet is doing a blastbeat and the next a beautiful female vocal section will kick in, followed by a breakdown. It’s almost like a cross between Strapping Young Lad and Therion. It is truly a bizarre style, but I totally love it.
This album will probably get as much detraction as it does love, but give it a spin and listen to it the whole way through before deciding you hate it. There is genius here and you better pay attention.
9/10. This is, as said, pure fucking genius.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
